| Description | Art Deco style black, molded box with Pegasus on cover. This gift box was offered by the American Stationery Co. (Peru, Indiana) for $1.00 with the purchase of their "Big 450" stationery package. A smaller model was available for 75 cents. The box was designed and molded of phenolic resin by the short-lived plastics division of the Gorham Silver Company the ended operation in 1940. See: Modern Plastics, vol. 15 (Oct. 1937), p. 156. |
