DescriptionBlade shaped souvenir letter opener with “New York World's Fair, 1939" engraved on spine, and with yellow plastic circular medallion inset with Trylon and Perisphere.in octagonal handle. With "New York World's Fair, 1939" in raised letters. The edges of the “blade” are marked in inches and centimeters. Letter openers were popular souvenirs of the fair. General Electric gave out letter openings promoting its product Textolite designed using the obelisk shape of the Trylon as the letter opener blade.
